Technology Hub

At Rallim Preparatory School, our Coding and Robotics programme prepares students for a technology-driven future through creativity, problem-solving and innovation.

In the Foundation Phase, students develop computational thinking and 21st-century skills through hands-on unplugged coding activities. They then progress to iPads, using platforms such as ScratchJr, CodeSpark, Kodable and Code.org to learn block-based coding through storytelling and game design.

Students build and program robots using LEGO Education SPIKE Essential, progressing to competitions that strengthen teamwork and resilience.

In the Senior Phase, students advance their skills through Scratch, Micro:bits and robotics using LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, equipping them to become confident creators and future-ready problem-solvers.

Sports Hub

Preparatory School:

In Grades 1 and 2 we introduce specific sporting codes, and lay the foundations that are needed for each discipline. We also educate for healthy competition. Sportsmanship and etiquette is a big focus. This is all in an effort to build confidence and prepare our athletes physically and emotionally for competition in their next stages.

Stage 2: Sport Fundamentals, Skills and Healthy Competition under controlled circumstances. (Gr 1 and 2).

Our focus in this stage is to develop movement skills and learn sports skills; to encourage a variety of sporting codes; to introduce competition internally with practice matches and to introduce good sportsmanship (working together and respect).

Stage 3: Introduction to Healthy Competition (from Gr 3 onwards).

External matches are introduced from Grade 3 with the focus being on enjoyment, practising good sportsmanship and NOT on WINNING!

We still develop overall sports skills, and encourage a variety of different sports at this stage. Variety in sport protects students from injury and develops a more balanced musculature.

Internal Outreach

Internal Outreach

At Rallim, community outreach is an essential part of learning and growing for our students from Grades 1 to 7. Internally, students support and celebrate our school community, engaging in activities that uplift staff and fellow students, fostering a sense of care, respect, and belonging.

External Outreach

External Outreach

Externally, students reach out to local communities, responding thoughtfully to current needs and making a meaningful difference. By supporting community initiatives, they develop empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility, learning how to respond with care and action in real-world situations.

Wider Outreach

Wider Outreach

Globally, students explore the wider impact of their actions and learn to consider how they can contribute positively to the world. They are encouraged to identify challenges, understand their effects on communities, and consider ways to help, inspire change, or alleviate problems. Through these programmes, Rallim students grow as thoughtful, responsible, and engaged citizens who make a difference locally and globally.
